When we reported some time ago about the possible release of the Nikon D3Xs we were very close...but no cigar this time. Instead, Nikon yesterday announced the launch of their new flagship digital SLR, always an important event, the Nikon D3X.

No pricing is available at this time. The official press release is as follows:
