Answer...YES! Further to our report a few weeks back, we can confirm that the Canon EOS 5D mk II has now been officially anounced.

Canon have added an intriguing new page to their website in the US featuring a moon and the silhouette of an SLR camera. The page is entitled 'EVOLUTION'. We can only assume that the long-awaited release of the EOS 5D replacement is imminent. How will this stack up against the awesome Nikon D3? We can't wait to find out.
